An alternative would be to build a custom VST host that reads and writes the parameters to/from Serum. I think this would be easier than reverse engineering the Serum preset spec. I've dropped Steve a few messages about opening it up BTW, he's yet to respond. He's pretty responsive on the Serum help forum if you have a license.
